I understand what it is like to be burned out, on auto-pilot, and living life without that special spark that makes each day fulfilling. Upon this realization, I made a list of the things that brought me joy. Using that list, I started practicing mindfulness skills, worked with a therapist, and began learning yoga. Since 2008, yoga and mindfulness have been my constant companions through life transitions, career changes, and motherhood. Through these practices, I was able to gain a deep understanding of myself and the world around me. I had more compassion, fun, and inner peace. One of the most beautiful aspects of life is that we create the meaning in our lives; which puts us in the driver’s seat and in control of our happiness.
My education includes obtaining a B.A. in Psychology from USF (2011) and a M.A. in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from USF (2015). My clinical experience includes counseling individuals in crisis in Pinellas County, providing outpatient therapy, coaching individuals with TBI, and working as program director in a substance abuse rehabilitation center. I am also a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and have had the honor of practicing yoga in the United States, Korea, and Japan.
