From your responses, you indicated that the wellness domain where there is the largest discrepancy between where you are and where you would like to be is Psychological & Emotional. Below you will find activities you can start today to assist you in reaching your wellness goal.
We suggest that you start with the right-brain activity. Though it may seem “different” and stretch you out of your typical comfort zone that is generally where true insight can occur.
Wellness Domain: Psychological & Emotional
Right Brain Activity | Draw a circle on a white piece of paper. For 10 minutes use marker, oil pastels or collage to represent “emptying” the contents of your mind into the circle. Hang it upside down or sideways for 48 hours in a place where you can see it. Take a few minutes each day to “pause” to see if it has something to share with you. Jot these down in a journal. |
Left Brain Activity | Write a specific, and attainable, goal for your emotional health this week. For example, call a coach to address ______ by Wednesday of this week. Or, practice deep breathing for 5 minutes before bed Monday – Friday this week. |
Affirmation | “A further sign of health is that we don’t become undone by fear and trembling, but we take it as a message that it’s time to stop struggling and look directly at what’s threatening us.” ~ Pema Chödrön |
