Welcome to the heartbeat of Integrative Counsel, our blog where tranquility meets transformation. This is your sanctuary for insights and wisdom on nurturing a harmonious connection between mind, body, and spirit.
As we navigate the unfolding path of our lives, we’re presented with unique challenges custom-fitted to our unique situation. To enjoy all the different phases of your life, it might necessitate changing your approach as you go along. When things are going well, it’s easy enough to stay optimistic, but when there’s resistance, it can feel like you’re treading water. We didn’t choose to have these challenges, but we do have control over how we rise to them.
Which phase are you in?
“There is in every child at every stage a new miracle of vigorous unfolding, which constitutes a new hope and a new responsibility for all. Healthy children will not fear life if their elders have integrity enough not to fear death. I am what survives of me.” – Erik Erikson
When you’re trying to conceive, it can be a real roller coaster ride of emotions. Society treats child-bearing as something so simple that it could happen by accident, and many of us spent the zenith of our youth anxious about the prospect of getting pregnant. When it’s been three months or more of trying with no apparent results, the burnout is very real and it can impact your relationships, self-esteem, and even your sense of hope. So what can be done to make this process less excruciating?
It is a time-honored tradition for mothers to over give, and over sacrifice. In theory, this is because they want to give their families everything they have, but in practice, it is overwhelming and unsustainable. So in your mother phase, it is vital to take care of not only your family, but yourself as well.
In maidenhood and motherhood, many women spend their lives devoted to the service of others. This is the other side of the coin so to speak. In menopause, your life has an opportunity to no longer be fully entangled in your family. Embracing your wild woman phase means returning to the things that bring you joy, and finding confidence in a life well lived.
Initiation By Fire. In her module of our Empower bundle, Tracy Brooks teaches us how to approach the changes of menopause with curiosity, wonder, and fun. Your life does not end when your menstrual cycle does, and in fact, the joy of being a woman is only just beginning.
This bundle includes 7 modules by 9 women covering many of the stops on the journey of womanhood. Meant to be a treasure trove of wisdom you can watch again and again, this is for all women in all stages of life, and is also great for group work.
The 7 modules are non-linear- because womanhood isn’t linear! Start where you want, take breaks whenever, and jump in to what lights you up. Wherever you are in your journey of womanhood is perfect. This bundle is for all women- anyone who identifies as a woman will find valuable information in this bundle.
