Welcome to the heartbeat of Integrative Counsel, our blog where tranquility meets transformation. This is your sanctuary for insights and wisdom on nurturing a harmonious connection between mind, body, and spirit.
There are many different disciplines they might have, and every therapist has something different to offer. However, it’s not always clear what each therapist might have to offer, and without complete information, finding the right guide can be a process of trial and error. At Integrative Counsel, each of our experts has something special to offer the people of Saint Petersburg, and we’re going to make it as transparent as possible who they can help, what they can help with, and how they’ll be able to get it done.
“Psychotherapy is what God has been secretly doing for centuries by other names; that is, he searches through our personal history and heals what needs to be healed- the wounds of childhood or our own self-inflicted wounds.” – Thomas Keating
Michael started his journey towards being a St Petersburg counselor in his practice of Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Kung-Fu. As he studied for his Master’s degree, he recognized that the teachings of martial arts and Eastern philosophy often overlapped with and elaborated on the things he was learning in school. By integrating both schools of thought into his counseling practice, Michael combines the modern wisdom of the mind with the ancient wisdom of the body. He is also Gottman trained and passionate about helping couples heal their relationship.
